HOW IT HAPPENED: 

FIRST HALF: Tampa opened the first half strong with an early layup by
Audrey Ramsey, setting the tone for their offensive energy. Marissa McDonald followed up with two crucial three-pointers, pushing Tampa ahead while showcasing their outside shooting. Zoe Piller's presence on the boards and a steady contribution of assists kept Tampa in control throughout the first quarter. In the second quarter, Tampa continued their dominance, with Sariana Rodriguez and Giorgia Palmieri sinking timely three-point shots to maintain their lead. Tampa's defense, led by Olivia Davis and Ramsey, effectively disrupted Saint Leo's rhythm, forcing turnovers and difficult shots.

SECOND HALF: Tampa dominated the second half, maintaining a steady lead over St. Leo with strong defensive and offensive plays. Early in the third quarter, Ramsey and Piller contributed key free throws and layups, expanding their advantage. Kath Van Bennekom and Davis shined, making impactful shots, including a clutch three-pointer by Davis. Despite some turnovers, Tampa capitalized on St. Leo's missed opportunities with defensive rebounds and precise assists. In the fourth quarter, Tampa's defensive efforts, including a critical block by Piller, thwarted St. Leo's scoring attempts. Tampa sealed their victory with a late three-pointer from Palmieri.
