Spartans Open Spring With Record Round
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team finished in the top-10 at the World Golf Invitational, capping off the two-round event with a school record 308.
The Spartans came in at 630 (+54) following rounds of 322 and 308. Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn University won the team title at 584. Lynn's Jessica Bradley won the medal with a 143 (-1). The event was hosted by Flagler College and played at Slammer & Squire Golf Course.
Fatin Amin led the Spartans, finishing 24th overall. She carded rounds of 74 and 78 to finish at 152 (+8). Alyssa Morahan (159), Grace Marie Schian (159), Jess Wild (161) and Hanna Grevelius (167) also competed for the Spartans.
UT returns to action on February 16-17 at the Florida Southern Invitational at Grasslands Country Club.
