Women’s Golf Plays Two Rounds at Guy Harvey Invitational
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team was 16th at the Guy Harvey Invitational, which was hosted by Sunshine State Conference opponent Nova Southeastern University at the PGA National Palmer Course.
The Spartans fired rounds of 334 and 318 to come in at 652 (+76). SSC opponent Rollins College won with a team total of 601n (+25).
Freshman Sydney Stengel made her collegiate debut and led the Spartans while finishing in 57th place. Her score was a 161 (+17) with rounds of 78 and 83.
Also playing for Tampa was Alyssa Morahan (163), Fatin Amin (165), Jess Wild (165) and Grace Marie Schian (174). Morahan carded the top round for UT, coming in at 74 on Tuesday.
Tampa is back in action on October 18-20 at the Saint Leo Invitational. The event will be hosted by Saint Leo University at Lake Jovita Golf Course.
