
Fall Season Ends With More Records for Spartans
The No. 25 Tampa women's golf team continues its trend toward the national elite.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 25 University of Tampa women's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a second-place finish as it was just one shot behind team champion Barry University.

- Heather Kipniss | 8th overall, 146

OTHER NOTABLES:
- The 293 is a new school record, which was achieved in both rounds at the Flagler Fall Slam.
- Riihijarvi was the top Spartan golfer for the third time this fall.
- The reigning Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Week, Riihijarvi posted rounds of 71 and 73 respectively. Her first round score was also a team-best.
- Freshman Kipniss shot rounds of 74 and 72.
- Wild posted a 73 in Tuesday's round.
- Tampa did not register any individuals.
- A total of 18 teams competed.
- Joining UT and team champion Barry from the SSC were Embry-Riddle (12th) and Eckerd (16th).

With the fall season complete, Tampa will turn its focus to the spring season, which begins February 3 at the Flagler World Invitational.
