Riihijarvi Leads Way as Spartans Open 2020-21 Campaign
DADE CITY, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team opened its 2020-21 season with three-time All-American and reigning National Player of the Year Kiira Riihijarvi leading a shorthanded Spartan lineup.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Riihijarvi narrowly missed out on her 11th career individual medalist honor as Lynn's Helen Kreuzer was awarded the championship.
- A second-round 68 from Riihijarvi was the top individual round for all Spartans.
- Montagnino joined Riihijarvi in the top-10 as UT was one of four teams with a pair of players within the top 10 finishers.
- Head coach Missey Jones registered the minimum of four players.
- Joining UT, team champion Lynn and host Saint Leo (2) from the Sunshine State Conference were Florida Southern (3), Nova Southeastern (4), Barry (5), Palm Beach Atlantic (8) and Eckerd (9).
UP NEXT:
Tampa will compete in the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on March 14-16. The event will be hosted by fellow SSC opponent Rollins College at Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando.
