Emilie Bjørge Leads Spartans to BarryU Invite Title
MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team played to a first-place finish among several nationally-ranked teams at the BarryI Invite by ACF Pizza, as Spartan golfer Emilie Bjørge captured the top prize among individuals.

- Bjørge carded a pair of 72 rounds on Monday, leading throughout.
- She would seal the individual title with a 71 in Tuesday's round.
- The top individual round for the Spartans came from Forstmane in round three, which would register as the top round of the tournament among the 77 participants.
- Head coach Missey Jones entered freshman Isabella Adkins as UT's lone individual.
- Bjørge's medalist honors are the first of her collegiate career. She joins UT great Kiira Riihijarvi as the lone Spartans to win a tournament, as the 5-time All-American did it a total of 13 times.
- This is the sixth team title in program history.
- A total of 13 teams competed.
- Joining UT and host Barry (2) from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (3), Lynn (4), St. Leo (5), Florida Southern (6), Embry-Riddle (11), Palm Beach Atlantic (12) and Eckerd (13).
- Tampa, ranked No. 16 in the nation, competed against, and defeated No. 1 Lynn, No. 2 Nova Southeastern, No. 6 Barry, No. 9 Indianapolis, No. 14 St. Leo and No. 25 Florida Southern.
