
Laila Forstmane Paves Way For Spartan Success at Legends Invite
BRADENTON, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team concluded fall action at the Rollins Legends Invitational, finishing fourth among the 16-team field.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Forstmane was the top Spartan for the second time this fall.
- This marks the second top-10 finish of the 2022-23 season for Forstmane.
- An opening round 69 from Forstmane marked the low round for UT.
- Jimenez Rios was the second-best Spartan and has been in the team's top two in all three fall events.
- Head coach Missey Jones did not register any individuals.
- A total of 16 teams competed.
- Nova Southeastern's Ellen Andersson, ranked No. 50 in the nation, was the individual champion with a 213, winning by three strokes.
- Joining Tampa and team champion Lynn from the Sunshine State Conference were Nova Southeastern (5), Rollins (6), Florida Southern (10), Barry (11) and Saint Leo (15).
- Ranked No. 11 in the nation, Tampa finished behind No. 5 Lynn, No. 1 Dallas Baptist and No. 6 Findlay.
- The Spartans finished ahead of 12 nationally-ranked teams, including three from the top 10.
- Several nationally-ranked players competed, including No. 22 Jimenez Rios, No. 61 Montagnino and No. 92 Forstmane,
