Tournament Champion Ana Maria Jimenez Rios Leads Spartans at Lynn Invite
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's golf team finished third overall behind an individual medalist performance from Ana Maria Jimenez Rios at the Lynn Invitational.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Jimenez Rios was the individual medalist, winning her second tournament of the season as she also captured gold at the Westminster Wasatch Invite in the fall.
- After opening with a 69, Jimenez Rios had a 75 in Monday's late round and capped off the event with a 70 in the final 18 holes on Tuesday. She won by two strokes.
- This is the fourth time in 2022-23 that Jimenez Rios has been the top UT golfer.
- A total of 12 teams competed.
- The event included eight Sunshine State Conference schools.
- The Spartans are ranked No. 11 in the nation and only trailed No. 1 Lynn and No. 2 Dallas Baptist.
- 10 of the 12 teams are nationally ranked. UT finished ahead of No. 3 Nova Southeastern and No. 9 Rollins from the top 10.
- Jimenez Rios is ranked No. 24 in the nation and is joined by nationally ranked teammates No. 32 Forstmane, No. 48 Montagnino, and No. 100 Holletschek. Six of the nation's top 10 individuals competed in the tournament, including the top two players in the nation.

The regular season is now complete, as Tampa will open the postseason April 15-18 at the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Championships at Lake Jovita Golf Course in Dade City, Fla.
