
UT Women's Golf Opens Season at DBU Classic
DENTON, Texas - The University of Tampa women's golf team opened its 2023-24 season, finishing 12th overall at the Dallas Baptist University Women's Classic.

- Ana Maria Jimenez: 71-74-74=219 (+3), T-20th
- Emilie Bjorge: 76-73-77=226 (+10), T-46th
- Chloe Burdon: 77-75-78=230 (+14), T-56th
- Ella Mason: 77-77-76=230 (+14), T-56th
- Silvia Barnes Franco: 79-73-83=235 (+19), T-64th
In the team standings, Dallas Baptist and Findlay tied for first place with a total score of 863, both finishing at -1 under par. However, Dallas Baptist secured the first-place finish in a tiebreaker. Barry came in third place with a total score of 868, while UIndy and Midwestern State tied for fourth and St. Mary's rounded out the top five.
In the individual standings, Olivia Deakins of St. Leo emerged as the tournament champion with a remarkable total score of 207, finishing at -9 under par. She was closely followed by three players who tied for second place with a score of 210 (-6). These players were Nina Klug (Barry), Mary Kelly Mulcahy (Findlay), and Maria Torres (Oklahoma Christian).
