
Spartans Conclude Regular Season at Lady Mocs 2.0
LAKELAND, Fla. - At the Lady Moc 2.0 event held at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, Florida, on April 1st and 2nd, 2024, the University of Tampa women's golf team faced stiff competition from some of the best collegiate teams in the region as the Spartans placed 14th overall.
With a challenging Par 72, 6029-yard course, Dallas Baptist emerged as the tournament champion with a total of 861, finishing under par at -3. They were closely followed by Flagler, who secured the second spot with a total score of 876, standing at +12 over par.
The Spartans ended the tournament ranked 14th with a combined score of 922, translating to +58 over par.
Ana Maria Jimenez Rios stood out as Tampa's top performer, tying for the 11th spot in the individual player standings with scores of 70, 77, and 72, culminating in a total of 219, which is +3 over par.
Emilie Bjorge also made a notable contribution to the team, tying for the 49th spot with scores of 73, 77, and 79, totaling 229, which is +13 over par.
Additionally, Ella Mason and Maxime Holletschek also competed, with Mason tying for the 74th position and Holletschek tying for the 80th. Freshman Silvia Barnes totaled a 248 through three rounds.
UT returns to action for the 2024 Sunshine State Conference Championships on April 13-16 at The Bayou Club in Largo, Fla.
