
WGCA Honors Ana Maria Jimenez Rios as First-Team All-Region
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the 2023-24 student-athlete and coach regional awards for Division II Women's Collegiate Golf. University of Tampa standout Ana Maria Jimenez Rios earned her third consecutive spot on the South Region team.
Jimenez Rios, who will begin play at the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships on Tuesday in Winter Garden, Fla., is in the midst of a junior campaign where she was presented as the Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Year. She finished fourth overall at the 2024 NCAA South Regional, and has won two tournaments this season. In all, she has four top-five performances this season while carrying a 73.19 scoring average.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
