
Spartans Welcome In Greyhounds
The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team welcomes in the University of Indianapolis Friday night to the Naimoli Family Athletic Complex.
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team will play host as they welcome the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds to the Naimoli Family Athletic Complex Friday night.
Tampa enters the contest with a record of 1-7, and will be looking to bounce back after dropping a 12-5 contest to Indiana Pa.
Indianapolis comes into the matchup toting a record of 2-3, and will be hoping to end their two-game losing streak.
The Spartans offense is paced by Amanda Voges, who's tallied 13 goals and three assists so far this season. Serving as the catalyst for the offense is Natalie Carraway, who's dished out a team-leading five assists on the year.
Leading the team in draw controls are Amanda Rom and freshman Allie Popelar with 18 apiece.
Defensively, Tampa is anchored down by Liz Kramer, Amanda Parker, and Marissa Killpack, who lead the team with 11, nine and eight caused turnovers respectively. In between the pipes senior transfer Calli Guliday has notched 67 saves, and posted a save percentage of 41.4.
This contest will be the first time the two young programs have met in competition.
