Kramer and Voges Named to All-SSC Team
Freshman Liz Kramer earned First Team honors in her first collegiate season while junior Amanda Voges repeats as a Second Team selection.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team earned two All-Sunshine State Conference selections as freshman Liz Kramer was named to the First Team while junior Amanda Voges garnered Second Team honors, as announced by the SSC office, Thursday.
Kramer earns her first All-SSC honor in her freshman season of play, starting in all 14 contests with the Spartans, logging 20 caused turnovers to tie the single-season record for the UT women's lacrosse program. The Mullica Hill, N.J. native totaled 23 draw controls on the season in addition to scooping up 17 ground balls. The defender recorded her only goal of the season against rival Florida Southern College and finished the year with two assists.
Voges once again led the Spartans in scoring during her junior campaign, netting 28 goals to combine with five assists. The Bayshore, N.Y. native eclipsed the 100 point mark this season and ranks first all-time in UT women's lacrosse history in points (114) and goals (91).
Florida Tech secured two major awards as midfielder Allie Modica earned SSC Player of the Year honors while head coach Corrine Desrosiers was named SSC Coach of the Year. Freshman Kallie German of Rollins College was selected as the SSC Freshman of the Year.
