
Spartans Defeat Eagles 23-8 in Final Regular Season Match Up
Two Spartans had record-setting performances for Tampa in the 23-8 win over Embry-Riddle.
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 16 University of Tampa women's lacrosse team defeated the Embry-Riddle Eagles by a final score of 23-8.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half
- The Spartans started the game off with a goal from Carly Vaccaro unassisted.
- The Eagles answered right back with a goal two minutes later.
- Embry-Riddle then took the lead with another goal.
- Three minutes later, Tampa tied the game with a goal by Maggie Gladden assisted by Rachel Crawford.
- The Spartans were back on top after Kayla Kosubinsky scored with an assist from Crawford.
- Vaccaro scored her second goal with an assist from Crawford.
- Caroline Forester scored her first goal of the game with an assist from Crawford.
- Tampa continued their scoring streak with another goal. Natalie Carraway's first goal of the game and Crawford's fifth assist.
- The Eagles answered back with a goal making the score 6-3 Spartans.
- Lauren McNeill scored her first goal of the game unassisted.
- Embry-Riddle responded with a goal.
- Kosubinsky scored with an assist from Claire Swanson.
- Kosubinsky scored her third goal of the game with an assist from Crawford.
- The Spartans get a six-goal lead after Gladden scored off an assist from Paige Johnson.
- With 3:48 remaining, the Eagles answer with a goal.
- At the end of the half, Tampa was leading 10-5.
2nd Half
- Similar to the first half, Tampa was the first to score with a goal from Crawford with an assist by Vaccaro.
- Forester scored unassisted.
- Crawford scored her second goal of the game with an assist by Swanson.
- Embry-Riddle responded with a goal.
- Kosubinsky responded with an unassisted goal.
- Forester score unassisted.
- McNeill scored her second goal of the game.
- The Eagles responded with a goal making the score 16-7.
- Crawford recorded her third goal of the game with an assist from Graeme Eber.
- Gladden scored with an assist from Swanson with 14:50 left in the game.
- Forester scored with an assist from Eber.
- Megan Sanchez was unassisted in her first goal of the season.
- Forester scored again with an assist from Crawford.
- With 4:50 left in the game the Eagles scored. The Spartans still led 21-8
- Forester scored her sixth goal of the game with an assist from Swanson.
- Vaccaro scored a free position game to finish the game.
- Tampa won 23-8.

- Crawford led the Spartans in assists with seven.
- Defensively, Claire Swanson led the Spartans with 10 draw controls.

BEYOND THE BOX:
- Rachel Crawford broke the record for most points scored in one game with 10. She also broke the record for most assists in one game with seven. The junior ended the contest with three goals and seven assists.
- Caroline Forester tied the team record for most goals in a single game with six.
