
Tampa Crushes the North Greenville Crusaders
TAMPA, Fla. – The tenth ranked University of Tampa women's lacrosse team defeats the North Greenville Univesrity Crusaders by 14, allowing only five goals against throughout the game.

How It Happened:
1st Half: The Crusaders scored 23 seconds in the game with a goal by Rachel Kellogg. Nine seconds later, still in the first minute, Lizzie Pierpont equalized the game at the 29:28 mark. Tampa and North Greenville exchanged goals in a frenzy of early scoring. Kellogg scored her 22nd goal of the season at 25:26, cutting a slim Tampa lead to 3-2. Tampa took a 5-2 lead on Lauren McNeill's second goal of the season at 21:56. Five different Spartans scored in the opening 10 minutes of play. Pierpont got her double at 14:01 on a set-up pass in front of goal by Kayla Kosubinsky. Claire Swanson dazzled, deking around her opponent, to score her second goal at 11:51 to give Tampa a five-goal lead. The Spartans outscored the Crusaders 9-1 to close out the half. Pierpont scored twice in the last 2:30 of play, both assisted by Swanson, to extend UT's halftime lead to nine. || Tampa 12, North Greenville 3
2nd Half: Hannah Bush struck first in the second half giving Tampa a 10-goal lead at 26:36 remaining. Bush's goal resulted in the implementation of a running clock for the remainder of the contest. Both Bush and Carly Vaccaro accumulated goals to earn themselves hat tricks during the second half. The Spartans were assessed three yellow cards and one green card in the half directly resulting in just one Crusaders goal while having the one-man advantage. Midfielder Abby Hope scored her first career UT goal with 1:21 remaining to put the icing on top of the "victory cake". || Tampa 19, North Greenville 5
