#10 Tampa Takes Down #7 Rollins
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 10 ranked University of Tampa women's lacrosse team defeated the No. 7 ranked Rollins College Tars in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF
Lauren McNeill got the ball rolling early and quickly for the Spartans, netting the game's first goal just over a minute into the game, assisted by Gracie Colombo. Cece Colombo then scored her first goal of the game, assisted by Abby Hope, at the 22:09 mark. Rollins answered a minute later, scoring on a free position shot to make the game 2-1.
Tampa would then reel off four goals in a row in a three-and-a-half-minute span: McNeill again, assisted by Hope (17:08); Genie Santarpio, assisted by Cece Colombo (15:05); Hannah Bush, assisted by C. Colombo (13:42, man-up); Santarpio, assisted by C. Colombo (13:36). The Spartans scoring punch put them ahead 6-2.
Rollins scored the final two goals in the half to claw back, 6-4. Score: 6-4 Tampa
SECOND HALF
The Tars started the half on a tear, scoring three goals in two minutes to tie the game, 7-7. The Spartans kept fighting, though, and rattled off three goals of their own to extend their lead 10-7 with 15:15 to go. Goals by Georgia Glowaki (man-up), assisted by Santarpio, Riley Coleman with the helper from McNeill, and Emma McLoughlin assisted by Gia Colombo. The Tars scored a goal, cutting the lead to within two, 10-8. Glowaki scored again from the free position shot with 5:04 left to make it 11-8 Tampa. Gia Colombo scored her second of the game, unassisted, 40 seconds later to make it 12-8 Tampa.
Rollins scored exactly one minute later, 12-9 Tampa. Santarpio scored to close out the game in the final minute with C. Colombo on the assist. Score: 13-9 Tampa
