No. 13 Spartans Dominate in 22-10 Victory Over Cabrini

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans women's lacrosse team returned to the win column with a decisive win against Cabrini University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

First Quarter: The Spartans found themselves trailing early after the Cavaliers found the back of the net early in the matchup. The Spartans offense started to find their rhythm soon after, scoring five goals within about four minutes of each other. Lizzie Pierpont opened the scoring for the Spartans, followed by Emma McLoughlin soon after. The Cavaliers scored with just over five minutes left in the quarter to cut into the Spartans' lead. The goals for the Spartans were scored as follows:

Second Quarter: The Spartans offense got started early in the second, with O'Neill Galinson scoring just minutes into the quarter. Then, the Spartans offense just kept rolling. The Spartan goals headed into halftime were scored as follows:

Third Quarter: The third quarter opened up with great defensive play on both sides of the ball. The Cavaliers opened the scoring for the second half of the game.  The Spartans had an answer for the Cavaliers goal, with Kayla Brennan scoring and building the Spartans lead to eight goals.  The Spartans scored as follows:

Fourth Quarter: The Spartans played great defense throughout the quarter, keeping the Cavaliers off the board for the first half of the quarter. The scoring was opened up by Madison Birch and then the Spartans offense kept going. The Spartan goals for the fourth quarter were scored as follows:
