TAMPA, Fla – The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team head back home as they take on Lee University.

The Matchup: No. 13 University of Tampa (2-3) vs. Lee University (3-4)

Series History: Tampa will start a new series history against Lee in their first official matchup Friday night.

About the Spartans: The Spartans come into this game having loss a tough one against #3 Queens. The Spartans were down by three the majority of the game, but made a last second push scoring four goals in the third quarter. They decreased the deficit to one point, but time ran out and their opportunity to tie or win the game slipped away. Three Spartans led the way with two goals each. Alex Walling set a new season high of 13 saves. The Spartans come into their contest against Lee hoping to grab a win at home.

About the Flames: The Flames come into this matchup having loss their last game against #23 St. Leo University. St. Leo pulled away early and Lee struggled to catch up. Dariana Blanton and Brittney White led the Flames with two goals each. The Flames loss 6-17 against St. Leo. Three of the four losses the Flames have faced have been to ranked opponents. They come into this matchup looking to prove themselves against Tampa.
