Dani Waters and Luke McAnaney Named SSC Players of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Senior Luke McAnaney wins his first player of the week nomination, and senior Dani Waters wins her third player of the week nomination. 

McAnaney takes Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Tampa's win over No. 11 Rollins (15-11). The Syracuse, New York product paced the Spartans with game-highs in points (6) and goals (4). McAnaney scored his four goals off eight total shots and five shots on goal.

Waters receives Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third time in 2022 for her efforts in UT's win against Saint Leo. The senior from Smithtown, New York, tallied a game-high six caused turnovers in the contest. She also picked up a team-high four ground balls in the 20-8 Spartan victory.

Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 21 - 27, 2022. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
