HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
After an early goal from the Panthers, the Spartans would open the first quarter slowly. Just minutes later, Cece Colombo found the back of the net after connecting with Julia Kolderman to tie the game. The first quarter would prove to be a battle between the evenly matched teams. The Spartans gained their first lead of the game after Lizzie Pierpont netted her second goal of the game with just under 10 minutes left in the first. The Spartan offense took off from there on, and headed into the second quarter with the lead. The Spartans scored as follows:

Emma McLoughlin finished off her hat trick as the Spartans' offense continued to roll. Tampa would head into the half with a commanding lead. The Spartans scored as follows:
