
No. 16 Tampa Pulls Off Upset on the Road Over No. 6 Rollins in Dominant Fashion
WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No.16 ranked University of Tampa Spartans women's lacrosse team upsets the No.6 Rollins College Tars on the road in dominant fashion.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
Tampa would win the draw to open the game and a goal would soon follow with Georgia Glowaki kicking off the scoring just thirty seconds into the game. Much of the first quarter would be spent with each team battling back and forth. After scoring the first goal of the game the Spartans would trail but goals from both Colombo and Hinkle would put them back on top.

Second Quarter
The second quarter was full of scoring with Tampa starting off in total control. Lizzie Pierpont would find the back of the net twice to put the Spartans back on top by a goal. At one point, Tampa found themselves with a four-goal advantage. However, the Tars would fight back scoring four unanswered goals.

Third Quarter
Tampa dominated the third quarter from start to finish. Pierpont opened the scoring with her third goal of the game followed by Christina Romano who would score her first goal of the game. The Spartan defense would shoutout the Tars and Tampa would end the quarter with a five-goal lead.

Fourth Quarter
Tampa continued to apply pressure and frustrate the Tars much like the previous two quarters. Hinkle scored her fourth and fifth goals of the game in the fourth quarter while Olivia Mott was able to add her third assist of the day. With very good attacking and defensive play, the Spartans pull off the upset over Rollins college.
