TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team look to continue their success in a matchup against Georgian Court.
The Matchup: No.6 University of Tampa (4-0) vs. Georgian Court (1-1)

Series History: This is the first matchup between Georgian Court and Tampa. Each team looks to get the series started by capturing the first win in the series.
About the Spartans: The Spartans travel into this match with a notable win, defeating the No. 2 team in the country, Adelphi University. In that game, the Spartans dominated the beginning minutes of the game with an early goal from Julia Kolderman. They led early and never looked back despite multiple attempts from Adelphi to catch up. Sarah Hinkle led the team with four goals. Cece Colombo finished with seven draw controls and Alex Walling finished with a season-high of 10 saves. The Spartans look to carry the energy from their last game and continue their win streak.
About the Lions: The Lions also come into this match with a win against D'Youville, their win first of the season. The Lions had the upper hand against D'Youville. They led in shots, 33-25, and were successful on 4-9 free position shots. The Lions scored four consecutive goals in an eight-minute length, two each from Alyssa Wahl and Remi Reinhardt. The Lions started the second quarter a little slow, but a last-minute push from D'Youville wasn't enough to shut out Georgian Court. Six different Lions led in scoring, but Alyssa Wahl finished the game with six points, five goals, and one assist. Isabel Raimondi gathered five points with two goals and three assists. They come into this matchup looking to secure their second win of the season.
