
No.6 Spartans Handle Business Against Saint Leo
SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No.6 University of Tampa lacrosse team handles business on the road against Saint Leo.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter: The game started with Tampa setting the bar high scoring two early goals by Allie Peebles and Julia Kolderman. They maintained their lead through the remaining minutes of the quarter not allowing Saint Leo to cut into it at all. In the last minute of the quarter, Cece Colombo scores a goal with 35 seconds left putting the score at 4-0 while Alex Walling comes up with two big saves to close out the first quarter. Second Quarter: The second quarter started with Tampa bringing the dogs out and scoring within the first two minutes. From there, it was nonstop with Tampa finding the back of the net three separate times. Saint Leo didn't give up and netted their first goal of the game with 7:30 left. Tampa kept it pushing though with two more goals from Sarah Hinkle and Wrisk. Tampa scored two more goals to close out the half and put their lead at 11. Third Quarter: The third quarter starts with Tampa honing in on their defense while still converting on offense. Wrisk scores back-to-back goals to help Tampa extend their lead. Tampa doesn't allow Saint Leo much time on offense rarely allowing them to set up their offense. Walling did her part on defense coming up with some huge saves after desperate shots attempts by Saint Leo. The Spartan's goals were scored as follows:
