HICKORY, N.C. - Record-setting day as Tampa notches first win of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior, Cece Colombo tallied Tampa's first goal of the season just over a minute into the contest off of a free position. The Spartans tallied the game's first four goals until Lenoir-Rhyne answered off a goal by Kaitlyn Cavanuagh. After a second unanswered goal from the Bears, the Spartans would go on a 9-0 run to lead 13-2 midway through the second period. Peyton Howell and Sarah Hinkle would score the two final goals in the period to increase the Spartan's lead to 15-3. The Spartans would score the final 11 goals of the game and would see 10 different players get on the score sheet throughout the game.
