
USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America Team Includes Four Spartans
TAMPA, Fla. - Four Tampa women's lacrosse players have been named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America, as announced by the organization early Thursday morning. Preseason All-Americas were compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with consultation from college coaches.
Peyton Howell and Sophi Wrisk landed on the First Team. Defenders, Lexi Waters and Delaney Stahrr earned spots on the Second and Third Teams.
Howell was a Second Team All-SSC selection and was named to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament team in her first season as a Spartan a year ago.
Wrisk tallied 47 goals and 17 assists last season for Tampa. She currently sits one point away from achieving 100 career points. The midfielder was in the national spotlight last season on numerous occasions. Wrisk was named the NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player, IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week twice, and earned IWLCA Second Team nods.
In her first season at Tampa, Waters was named to the IWLCA All-South Region Second Team, Second Team All-SSC, and SSC All-Tournament Team. She played and started all 22 contests scooping up 48 groundballs and causing 28 turnovers.
Stahrr, lands a spot on the Third Team as a Preseason All-American for 2025. Last season in the red and black, she started all 22 games causing 13 turnovers and collecting 11 groundballs.
