TAMPA, Fla. - The unanimous No. 1 ranked University of Tampa Spartans welcome their 2024 national championship foe, No. 3 Adelphi, in what will be a Red Out.

The Matchup: No. 1 University of Tampa (2-0, 0-0 SSC) vs. No. 3 Adelphi (1-0, 0-0 NE10)

Series History: The Spartans have won 2 of the 3 matchups against the Adelphi Panthers, including their 13-8 victory to cap off last season as National Champions.

About the Spartans: Tampa's status as the No. 1 team in the country didn't budge after a 14-10 victory at No. 8 ranked Maryville. USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week (2/11/2025) and Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week (2/17/2025), Sarah Engle, and junior midfielder Jenna Myhal led the Spartan offense with four goals each. Tampa's high-powered offense has already scored 40 goals in just two games this season while the defense has allowed just 19 goals total.

About the Panthers: Ranked No. 3 in the country, the Adelphi Panthers were voted the second-best team in the Northeast-10 Preseason Coaches Poll, finishing just one point behind Pace University. They have started the season strong with a 17-9 win over Molloy University.
