No. 1 Tampa Holds Top Spot in USA Lacrosse Magazine Rankings

TAMPA, Fla. - After securing the No. 1 ranking in both the preseason and Week 1 polls, Tampa remains atop the USA Lacrosse Magazine rankings with a unanimous No. 1 vote in the poll's second weekly release of the year.

The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team traveled north to Missouri to face No. 8 Maryville in their first-ever matchup, and came away with a 14-10 victory to remain unbeaten. Sarah Engle continues her dominant start to the 2025 season, recording 4 goals and 3 assists in the Show-Me State, earning Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week (2/17/2025) honors after previously being named USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week (2/11/2025).

This Saturday, February 22, the Spartans are hosting the No. 3 ranked Adelphi Panthers for a Red Out at 5:00 pm, in what is a National Championship rematch from last season.
