Spartans Hold Top IWLCA Ranking
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Tampa holds onto the No. 1 ranking in Division II after being unanimously voted to the top spot following a 15-13 win over No. 3 Florida Southern to secure its third consecutive Sunshine State Conference title and fourth since 2019. The Spartans now shift focus to the NCAA Tournament, which begins Thursday, May 8, as they pursue a second national championship.
West Chester capped off its third straight undefeated regular season with a 24-14 win over Bloomsburg. The Golden Rams will host the semifinals and finals of the 2025 PSAC Tournament this weekend, starting with a matchup against the winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal between Lock Haven and Seton Hill.
Despite falling short in the SSC final, Florida Southern remains at No. 3 and is projected to earn the No. 2 seed in the NCAA South Regional. The Moccasins will learn their tournament fate during Sunday's NCAA selection show.
Embry-Riddle and Maryville complete the Top 5 rankings.
In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—representing college coaches from across the nation—reflecting on the latest developments in women's lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
