Spartans Open Season at Rollins

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The University of Tampa rowing team opened its 2022-23 season at the TARS Regatta, competing with Sunshine State Conference opponents Embry-Riddle and Rollins on Lake Maitland.

The Spartans posted a first-place time of 8:35.6 in the Novice 4, finishing ahead of both Rollins boats. The UT team included Kiersten Dupriest, Paige Rockwood, Daleigh Johnson-Pawlak, and Jenna Manning, with Anne Buller as coxswain. 

Tampa also competed in the Pair, placing third with a time of 9:35.5. The Spartan pair included Emily Calarco and Rachel Dewey.

UT returns to action on Friday, March 31 at the FIRA Championships in Sarasota, Fla.
