SSC Rowing All-Conference History: All-SSC Teams | Boats & Coaches of the Year
This year's Varsity Eight becomes the third consecutive boat from Embry-Riddle and the second Eagles' Varsity Eight to win Boat of the Year. ERAU's V8 claimed five victories this season, including the SSC Championship and FIRA. The Eagles' best time in 2024 came at the Florida Tech Invite (6:47), while the second-fastest time (6:56) helped the program capture a third consecutive SSC title. ERAU rowing currently holds the No. 3 ranking from the CRCA and is expected to compete in the upcoming NCAA Regatta.
Pistor was selected as Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season. Highlights from Rollins' 2024 season include V8 and V4 petite finals wins at SIRA, as well as V8, JV8, JV4, and pair all second-place finishes at FIRA. The Tars V8 also placed second at the SSC Championships and won silver at Dad Vail Regatta. Pistor remains the only Rollins skipper named SSC Coach of the Year. It is the third Coach of the Year nod for Pistor, with his first honor coming in 2014.
Maddock becomes the first from Embry-Riddle to be named SSC Rowing Coach of the Year. In his first year at the helm of the Eagles program, Maddock led ERAU to the program's third consecutive SSC championship, the No. 1 South Region ranking, and the No. 3 CRCA ranking. This season, the Eagles were victorious at FIRA, won gold in the eights at the Head of the Schuylkill, and won silver in the Division II Fours at the Knecht Cup and the Dad Vail Regatta.
