Kendall Bourdon Named SSC Defender of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - After recording her first career shutout last week, University of Tampa women's soccer player Kendall Bourdon was named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

The freshman goalkeeper from Virginia Beach, Va., held her own against a high-powered Saint Leo offense, making five saves to lead the Spartans to a 3-0 road shutout over the Lions. Heading into the conference showdown, SLU was averaging more than five goals per contest.
