Courtney Evans Earns Academic All-District Honors

TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa women's soccer player Courtney Evans has been honored as a second-team member of the ESPN the Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District team.

A member of the District 3 college division team, the senior from DeLand, Fla., has registered a 3.50 GPA while majoring in Sports Management. She becomes the fourth player in program history to earn all-district honors and the first since Nicole Murphy in 2006.

Evans has also excelled on the field for the Spartans, as she currently leads the team with 12 assists. While starting all 17 games, she has played a major role in UT's success on the field as the Spartans stand at 11-5-1 on the year.
