Spartans to Open Title Defense in Pensacola
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The defending champion University of Tampa women's soccer team will begin its title defense versus SSC opponent Saint Leo University as the University of West Florida will play as one of two hosts in the NCAA South Region Tournament on November 14 and 16, as announced on Monday.
The Argonauts earned a first round bye as the region's top seed, and they will face the winner of Tampa and Saint Leo on Sunday, November 16 at the UWF Soccer Complex at 12:30 pm CT.
The other host in the region is number two seed Rollins, who will host Florida Southern and Florida Tech in the other first round matchup. The winner of the two regional sites will face each other for the right to play the Southeast Region representative. The winner of that game will then advance to the NCAA Finals hosted by the University of Tampa on December 5 and 7.
