
Samantha Kay, Pasquale Anderson Garner All-Region Honors
KANSAS CITY, Kans. - The University of Tampa's Samantha Kay and Pasquale Anderson were each honored as an NSCAA/Performance Subaru NCAA Division II all-South Region selection, with Kay garnering second-team honors as Anderson was on the third-team.
Kay, a junior midfielder from Ocean, N.J., helped both UT's offensive and defensive units and finished with three goals and four assists on the season. While starting all 23 games, Kay ranked first among Tampa's field players with 2,055 minutes. Among her goals were two game winners.
Anderson, a senior defender from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., led a UT defensive unit that outscored its opponents 43-18 on the season. The anchor of the defense helped the Spartans to a 16-5-2 overall record while advancing to the NCAA South Region final. In 22 games, Anderson registered a goal and an assist while playing 1,728 minutes.
