ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The No. 13 University of Tampa (13-1-1, 3-1-1 SSC) women's soccer team won its second game of the week via a 1-0 shutout, this time topping Eckerd College (7-6, 1-3 SSC) in a Sunshine State Conference showdown.
The game was scoreless for 70 minutes before Cici Gonzalez netted the game-winner for the Spartans. The goal came after Chelsea Martin brought the ball down the wing and cut in and laid back for Kaley Ward, who found Gonzalez for the finish.

The Spartans return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m., when they play host to SSC opponent Saint Leo University at Pepin Stadium. Live stats and a video broadcast will be available through TampaSpartans.tv.
