Caroline Frykgard Earns SSC Player of the Week Honors
WINTER PARK, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Caroline Frykgard has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week presented by VALIC.
Frygard, a freshman goalkeeper from Stockholm, Sweden did not allow a goal in 245 minutes of action to keep the No. 15 Spartans unblemished on the season. The freshman opened the week with playing 45 minutes and allowing no goals on one shot. Against Tusculum, Frykgard made eight saves on 11 shots for the shutout in a 0-0 draw. Frykgard ended the week with four saves on 14 shots in a 2-0 victory to earn her second shutout of the week.
