Tampa Falls to Rollins in Top-25 Battle

The No. 25 University of Tampa Spartans (10-3-3, 4-3-1 SSC) women's soccer team fell to the No. 11 Rollins College Tars (13-2, 7-1 SSC) by a final score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon.
Junior Beate Jaeckel netted her first goal of the season assisted by Senior Gabby Russo to give the Spartans an early lead in the 17th minute.
Rollins managed to even the score with a break-away goal in the 37th minute from sophomore Mora Johnson.
Tars forward Mora Johnosn notched her second goal of the game in the 58th minute to give Rollins the lead.
In the 68th minute Rollins scored another goal from a penalty kick from sophomore Paxton Sickler.
The Spartans outshot the Tars 6-4 in shots on goal. Junior Amber Pennybaker led the offense with two shots on goal.
