No. 25 Tampa Set to Welcome Warner for Senior Night
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 25 University of Tampa (10-3-3) women's soccer team is set to welcome Warner (6-7) to Pepin Stadium on Tuesday. The Spartans will honor Arielle Gonzalez, Jenny Karl, Gabby Russo, and Candice Shields prior to the match for senior night.
UT is coming off a 3-1 conference loss to Rollins on Saturday while Warner fell to Embry-Riddle 5-0 on Sunday.
Tamps holds a commanding 12-0 record against Warner and took the most recent matchup last season by a score of 2-0 at home.
Cici Gonzalez leads the way for UT's women with a team-leading 15 goals along with seven assists. Lauren Moore sports a team-high 10 assists and is second in goals with six. Goalkeeper Caroline Frykgard has tallied 32 saves in eight shutouts.
Jamie Murray leads Warner with a team-high seven goals on the season along with two assists. Breanna Martin and Elizabeth Lewis have also contributed to the offense with four and three goals respectively.
Goalkeepers Courtney Anderson and Samantha Oliveira have combined to save 74 shots while totaling two shutouts this season.
The Pepin Stadium gates will open at 6 p.m. Tickets will be available for $5 (adults, students and senior citizens). UT students and faculty/staff will be admitted free with a valid Spartan ID.
