UT Women’s Soccer Concludes Second Community Engagement Effort of Semester
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's
soccer team continued its community engagement with a visit to a
local school on Friday
Members of the Spartan team went to Cleveland Elementary School to
help out with their annual field day. The event took place at the
school from 8 to 11 a.m.
The girls were split up into different groups as each group was in
charge of running a specific station. A few girls were involved in
the jump rope station, some were over at the "Book Bus" where they
would help pick out books with the kids and help read them. Another
group was at the "writing wall" where they kids could sign their
name on a banner that was then going to be hung in the school's
entrance.
Lastly, a few girls were involved in helping out with refreshments
where they would help get the kids some Gatorade after completing
the obstacle course.
