TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 19 University of Tampa women's soccer team is set to host its quarterfinal matchup to open the 2015 Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Championship on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Pepin Stadium.
The Spartans concluded the regular season with an 11-3-3 overall record and a 5-2-1 tally in SSC action. The strong conference mark earned UT the No. 3 seed in the tournament, facing the No. 6 seed Saint Leo University in the opening round of play.
Tampa picked up a 2-0 victory in the regular season meeting against Saint Leo, as Cici Gonzalez and Korey O'Rourke found the net in the shutout. Forward Gabby Scirica assisted both goals as the Spartan defense held the Lions scoreless through regulation.

The Buccaneers earned the top-seed of the tournament along with hosting duties after repeating as the SSC regular season champions.
