Spartans Team Up with Habitat for Humanity
The women's soccer team went out and helped out in the community the last two weekends
TAMPA, Fla. – In the past two weekends, the University of Tampa women's soccer team have gone out and volunteered in the community with Habitat for Humanity. To be able to make an even bigger impact, the team was split into two groups.
On Saturday, February 4th, Group 1 (Nastasia Asgedom, Lauren Jackson, Maya Matouk, Meg Beidleman, Tati Kallianiotis, Robyn-Anne Whittaker, Ali Robinson, Alexa Sheridan, Lauren Willis, Syd Griner, Elizabeth Wissman, Alex Moore, and Caroline Frykgard) did construction on a house. The team worked together to build a roof for the Edwards family.
This past Saturday, February 11th, Group 2 (Sarah Raymond, Lydia Miller, Emily Cady, Devon Conway, Lacy Nasello, Haley Pigott, Savannah Ulrich, Miranda Gonzalez, Sydney Ross, and Taylor Jones) worked on preserving Ms. Enzie's house by painting the exterior for her.
The team will be looking to work again with Habitat for Humanity in the future and will also be taking part in Relay for Life on April 1st.
