Tampa Loses 2-1 on Road to Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Spartans lost to the Eagles, despite a last second effort.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

Final: Embry-Riddle 2, Tampa 1
Records: University of Tampa Spartans (2-5 , 2-1 SSC) vs. Embry-Riddle Eagles  (4-2, 2-0 SSC)
Location: Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium || Daytona Beach
All-time Series: The Lady Spartans still leads the all-time series 4-3 against the Embry-Riddle Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

1st Half | Two minutes into the game, Embry-Riddle took a 1-0 lead that lasted until the second half. || ER, 1-0 

2nd Half | In the first minute of the second half the Spartans hit the crossbar. Elizabeth Allen scored a header off of an Eagles' corner in the 64^th minute to increase their lead to 2-0. After 88 minutes, Lisa Caprara scored to make it 2-1. || ER, 2-1

INSIDE THE STATS:

• Embry-Riddle outshot the Spartans 13-8.
• Six Spartans played all 90 minutes.
• Lisa Caprara scored her first of the season.

UP NEXT: Tampa returns to Pepin Stadium on Saturday, October 5^th to face-off against Palm Beach Atlantic at 7 P.M.
