HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: It would take a while for the Spartans to get themselves in the game, as Flagler would begin to get the best of them early on. Megan Hessel would do her best to command her goal, as Flagler would strike first by breaking past the defense. Sophie Shrader would get a shot off but would not find the back of the net at the end of the half. Score: 1-0 Flagler
SECOND HALF: Tampa would find a lot more success in the second half, as two quick shots to begin the half would show the Spartans are still here to play. It wouldn't be long before Shrader would find Madison McElhone who would find the back of the net. Putting the Spartans level at the 68th minute, it would look like another draw for the Spartans until a penalty for Flagler would be called. As Flagler would put themselves in the lead from the spot in the 84th minute. Ending the Spartans hopes late in the game. Score: 2-1 Flagler
