HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: Tampa would not waste time to get on the board, as Stephanie DeLaforcade would find the back of the net early in the 8th minute of the first half. It would be all Tampa until a lightning delay would stop play, until an hour later where teams would resume play. It would still be all Tampa, as the Spartans would outshoot the Sharks 8-1 to end the first half. Score: 1-0 Tampa
SECOND HALF: Tampa would seem to lose their groove in the second half, as the Sharks would keep the pressure on the Tampa backline. Forcing errors from the Spartans in key parts of the field, Tampa would concede a goal in the 74th minute where the Sharks would make it level 1-1. The Sharks would not play for the tie, as a good combination of play would give the Sharks the lead with 5 minutes remaining in the game. The Spartans could not break past the Nova Southeastern's defense to level the score. Score: 2-1 Nova Southeastern
