
Hannah Kirkpatrick, Brooke Steigerwalt Named to Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. - A pair of University of Tampa women's soccer players were honored as members of the 2022 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams. Hannah Kirkpatrick and Brooke Steigerwalt were each recognized.
Kirkpatrick, a junior midfielder from Pittsburgh, Pa., is majoring in finance at UT. She is coming off a junior season where she started all 17 games, notching two goals and one assist. She also accounted for one game-winning goal, coming against St. Leo on October 12.
Steigerwalt, also a junior, is a marketing major from Chalfont, Pa. The midfielder was also a key player for the Spartans, starting 11 games and playing in 13 for the 2022 season. She tallied one goal on eight shots this season for Tampa.
The award is selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All- America® honorees will be announced in early December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All- America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
