MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – After earning their third draw of the season, the Tampa Spartans tied to the Barry Buccaneers 1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: While both teams demonstrated an even time of possesion, Tampa captured an early lead in the 35th minute after midfielder, Brooke Steigerwalt, scored an impressive, unassisted goal. At the other end of the field, the Spartans' defense continued to set the tone by holding off the Buccaneers having allowed not a single shot on goal in the first half.
SECOND HALF: The second half saw a comeback from the Buccaneers. In the 68th mintue, Katelyn Biloch from Barry found the back of the net to equalize and bring the match level. Both teams fought to grab the go ahead goal but neither could find the breakthrough they were looking for.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Aidan Smith earned four saves, adding to her combined total of 31 saves this season.
- The Spartans had a total of 13 shots, with three of them on target
