Spartans Set to Host Christian Brothers for Home Opener

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team will face off against Christian Brothers University in their home opener at Pepin Stadium.

About the Spartans: The Spartans finished off their 2023 season with an overall record of 5-5-6. The Spartans will take the field with a solid group of veterans with more than 14 games under their belt last year. Goalkeeper Aidan Smith returns for the Spartans after logging a stunning .867 overall save percentage last season. Also returning for the Spartans are forwards Tali O'Leary and Nellie Bryneus netting 3 goals a piece in their 2023 season.

About the Bucs: The Bucs completed their 2023 season with an overall record of 6-9-3. Chloe Hillyer returns in goal for the Bucs with an overall save percentage of .714 last year. Flavia Iorio led the team last year with five goals. 

All-Time Series: The Bucs lead the all-time series 6-1 against the Spartans. The last meeting between the two teams was in 2023, the Spartans walking away with a 1-0 win on the road.
