Spartan Swimmers Rank In Top-10 Following First Day Of NCAA Championships
SAN ANTONIO - Both The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams are ranked in the top-10 through the first day of competition at the 2011 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships.
Through the first day, the Spartan women are eighth overall while its men are 10th. Drury is the overall leader in both venues.
Tampa's women set a pair of school records on the first day as the 200 Medley Relay team placed seventh with a school-record time of 1:44.62. The group included Ellie Eshleman, Michelle Walcker, Lindsay Calimer and Amy O'Brien.
Freshman Heather Glenday also etched her name in the school record books in the 1,000 Free, Her performance of 10:08.92 was good for a fourth-place finish.
