
Tampa Women Seventh at NCAA Championships; Men 29th
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Tampa women's swim team competed the final session of the 2021 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
- The men's team tied for 29th with a total of six points.
- The Women's team finished in seventh place with a total of 230.5 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The women competed in all five swimming events.
ALL-AMERICAN PERFORMANCES:
- Lindsey Grater, Jessie Tobin, van Loock, and Bazarova made up the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle relay which finished in sixth with a time of 3:25.27.
HONORABLE MENTION ALL-AMERICAN PERFORMANCES:
- Jessie Tobin took 11th place in the Women's 1,650 Yard Freestyle with a time of 16:58.72.
- In the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle, Elizaveta Bazarova placed 11th with a time of 50.97. Hana van Loock took 14th place finishing with a time of 51.12.
- Madysen Barnes took 13th place in the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke registering a time of 2:00.74.
- Julia Augustsson placed 13th in the Women's 200 Yard Breaststroke finishing at 2:17.22.
