NSU's May Lowy and Luna Mertins of Lynn highlight the repeat All-SSC selections in 2023-24. Both athletes repeat as First Team for the third consecutive season, becoming the 13th and 14th SSC women's swimmers to earn three or more First Team accolades in a career. Additionally, Mertins was named the 2021-22 Freshman of the Year.
Emily Trieschmann, the reigning SSC Female Athlete of the Year, repeats as First Team All-SSC following her second consecutive conference championship Swimmer of the Meet award. Also earning a second straight First Team nod is Lynn's Laura Dekoninck and last season's Freshman of the Year, Emilia Ronningdal from NSU. Tampa's Mady Barnes and NSU's Estelle Bauer collect their third All-SSC honors. Barnes moves up to the First Team after Second Team recognition in 2021-22 and 2022-23, while Bauer has earned three straight Second Team accolades.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship Tuesday, March 12th - Saturday, March 16th, at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
